Albert Haynesworth cut by Patriots

The Albert Haynesworth experiment is over in Foxborough.

The Patriots waived the hulking defensive lineman today, according to online reports.

Teams will have until 4 p.m. tomorrow to put claims in on Haynesworth. But don’t expect them to come fast and furious — he was benched for a good portion of Sunday’s game against the Giants, and has been largely ineffective all season.
