Georgia’s Anthony Edwards is starting to emerge as the consensus top overall pick in the 2020 draft and the hometown Hawks surely wouldn’t pass on him if they nabbed number one.
Memphis’ James Wiseman remains the most intriguing player in the draft, and has the highest potential out of any player listed here. The Knicks are obviously in desperate need of a transcendent talent and Wiseman is one of the few players here that could reach those heights if all works out.
It’s looking like Steve Mills will have one more draft with the Knicks, and at this point in his tenure he has to be looking to hit a home run. A Frank Ntilikina single or a Kevin Knox double won’t cut it this time for the downtrodden franchise.
Also, keep an eye on LaMelo Ball falling in draft. He won’t make it out of the lottery, but he plays a position that the NBA is currently stocked with talent. Even most of the bad teams in this league have a point guard on their roster that they at least like.
