Updated Packers Cowboys odds spread line over under

We saw a bevy of upsets this past Sunday (Raiders over Colts, Browns over Ravens, Buccaneers over Rams –  most notably) as the NFL betting world was turned on its head.

There are also no more undefeated teams left against the spread in 2019.

Looking ahead to Week 5, bettors should stick to their principles with so much in flux. Beware of picking the road team in a game between two relatively even teams, and steer clear of inexperienced coaching staffs.

It’s why I like the Cowboys this Sunday at home against Green Bay (Dallas is currently -3.5 over Green Bay at MetroBet.us/Sugar).

It’s a “back to betting basics” game between two top NFC teams looking to rebound from their first losses of the season.

Spread: Cowboys -3.5 (-107), Packers +3.5 (-114)

Money line: Cowboys -195, Packers +155

Over under: 46 (-110)

Both teams are 3-1 against the spread this season.

The Cowboys and Packers feature two of the top defenses in the NFL, but Green Bay’s D may be a tad overrated.

The Packers faced a conveyor belt of inept quarterbacks the first three weeks of the season in Mitch Trubisky, Kirk Cousins and Joe Flacco. But once they saw a real-deal QB like Carson Wentz, things went haywire as Philly put up 34 points on them.

Wentz did only have 160 yards passing against Green Bay, but he finished with three touchdowns, zero picks and had an impressive passer rating of 113.2 in the victory. Dak Prescott should be able to have similar success in the efficiency department this Sunday at home against the Green Bay D.

The aura of Aaron Rodgers has taken a hit in recent years and the Eagles game added more doubt that Rodgers is still elite as he could not punch it in at the goal line despite multiple chances in crunch time.

The Packers’ most impressive win so far this season was their 10-3 victory at Chicago in Week 1. Green Bay will need to put up at least double that in Dallas if they hope to pull off the upset.

I don’t like the Pack’s chances of doing that, especially considering that the Cowboys are 10-1 in their past 11 games at Jerry World.

The play: $10 on Cowboys -3.5
