Tuukka Rask is here to stay for the long haul. Through 2021 to be exact.
The Bruins announced Wednesday that their franchise goaltender will get a franchise deal, an eight-year contract worth $7 million annually.
Rask was phenomenal throughout the Bruins’ run to the 2013 Stanley Cup Final, leading the league in save percentage (.940) while recording three shutouts. In 36 regular season games Rask recorded a 19-10-5 record, owning a 2.00 GAA.
