The Major League Baseball field is down to four teams after Texas’ Game 5 win at Tampa Bay late Tuesday night.
The Rangers’ “reward” is an ALCS matchup with the Yankees, who are looking like a juggernaut again.
Meanwhile, the Phillies have had a nice, long rest going into their NLCS contest against the Giants.
Here are the basics of both championship series.
ALCS
» Game 1 is 8 p.m. tomorrow night in Texas (TBS). Game 2 is Saturday; the series shifts to the Bronx for Games 3, 4 and 5.
» CC Sabathia (21-7, 3.18 ERA) will start Game 1 for the Yankees. C.J. Wilson (15-8, 3.35 ERA) will toe the rubber for the Rangers.
» New York is a -170 (bet $170 to win $100) favorite in the series.
NLCS
» Game 1 is 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Philadelphia (FOX). Game 2 is Sunday; the series shifts to San Francisco for Games 3, 4 and 5.
» Roy Halladay (21-10, 2.44 ERA) will try to follow his no-hitter for the Phillies in Game 1. Tim Lincecum (16-10, 3.43 ERA) will go for San Francisco.
» Philadelphia is a hefty -250 favorite in the series.
