Bruins: Game 1 went so late that F-bombs are now fine

How late (or early in the morning) did Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Bruins and Blackhawks go?

The clock read 1:06 a.m. EDT, some four hours and six minutes after NBC began its broadcast, when Chicago’s Andrew Shaw deflected Dave Bollard’s tip into the goal.

Shaw was interviewed after the game and dropped a clear F-bomb on the national broadcast. The funny thing is, no one seemed to care. Reporter Pierre McGuire didn’t blink an eye following Shaw’s cuss. NBC made little-to-no effort to bleep it out. Shaw himself didn’t even notice his slip-up.

At that point in the night, all the kids were put to bed, and in a big, bad hockey world a dirty mouth never hurt anyone.
