Celtics come back to top Knicks

The Celtics got off to a hot start against the Knicks, leading by 17 in the first half, but then ended up trailing by 11 in the fourth. Eventually the Celtics were able to come away with a 90-86 win Friday night at TD Garden. It was the second win in a week's span over the Knicks and the Celtics are now 11-14 on the season.

A dominant fourth quarter was what led the Celtics to their come-from-behind win over the Knicks as they outscored them 22-13 in the final frame. Jared Sullinger led the Celtics with 19 points, followed by Courtney Lee who had 18 off the bench. Avery Bradley contributed 13, while Brandon Bass added 11.

The visiting Knicks were led by Carmelo Anthony and Andrea Bargnani who had 26 and 22 points respectively in the loss as the Knicks fell to 6-16.

The Celtics will return to action Monday night (7:30, CSN) back home as they host the Timberwolves.

What they'll be saying: After embarrassing the Knicks last Sunday, the Celtics came out of the gates strong, but a 49-23 run allowed the Knicks right back in the game and eventually taking an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter. As has been the case all season long the Celtics didn't give up and went on an 18-5 run of their own in the fourth to come away with the win. The Celtics were able to overcome 16 turnovers compared to just seven for the Knicks and a poor night from Jordan Crawford who finished with just two points and was a -10.
