Celtics frustrations boil in latest loss to Denver

Clearly, things aren't going right for the Celtics as they have now lost five straight and eight of nine after their 129-98 loss to the Nuggets in Denver. Perhaps the losing streak has gotten to some of the players, including Jared Sullinger who was ejected after picking up two flagrant fouls.

The C's allowed a season-high of 129 points and were never truly in the game at any point as they trailed by eight after one and 23 at the half. Jeff Green led the Celtics with 17 points while Jerryd Bayless made his Celtics debut contributing six off the bench.

Denver had six players reach double-figures in points, led by Randy Foye's 23.

The Celtics have no time to dwell on the loss as they are in action again Wednesday night (10:30, CSNNE) in Los Angeles against the Clippers.

What they'll be saying: This may have been the worst loss of the season for the Celtics, who are obviously going through a rough patch. Poor defense was once again a major reason for the loss as Denver shot over 50 percent from the field. The road trip doesn't get any easier as the team still has games with some of the Western Conference's best on tap.
