Former Patriots wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson was arrested on charges that he violated probation and was ordered to jail Monday by a Broward County (Fla.) judge until he posts a $1,000 bond.
Johnson was on probation due to an altercation with his ex-wife, reality TV star Evelyn Lozada, last August in which Lozada claimed that Johnson head-butted her during an argument. Johnson was released by the Miami Dolphins a day after the incident and has not signed on with an NFL team since.
Johnson played with the Patriots during the 2011 season, catching just 15 balls. Johnson had 67 receptions the year prior with the Cincinnati Bengals.
