Chad Ochocino wants a Starbucks commercial real bad

Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco had his wallet and iPod stolen from his Escalade Wednesday but he claims to only be upset over one particular piece of plastic.

Yup, you guessed it. The receiver formerly-known-as-and-again-will-soon-be-known-as Chad Johnson is fretting about the loss of his Starbucks gold card.

“I earned the gold card,” Ochocinco said in a video shot from his SUV. “You know how many coffees I’ve had to drink and lemon loafs I’ve had to purchase to get that gold card? Like, I had $220 left on my Starbucks card. Not just any Starbucks card but a gold Starbucks card … I feel like I’m about to tear up.”

Ever the entrepreneur, Ochocinco is sure to parlay this into some sort of marketing campaign with Starbucks … that is if the coffee chain is interested in a washed up wide receiver.

Ochocino had just 15 catches for 276 yards and one touchdown in 2011 for the Patriots, easily his worst year as a pro.

Last season, at least, it seemed as though No. 85’s love of fast food (he insists that you can live well on McDonald’s) may have finally caught up with him (see below).
