The Jets added running back Chris Johnson to their offense already this offseason. If he has his way, he won’t be the only Johnson coming to New York this year.

The Jets running back tweeted “Let’s bring Andre johnson to the jets legooo” on Tuesday night. The Texans wide receiver, disgruntled and apparently wanting out of Houston, would obviously be an enticing option for the Jets.

At 32 years old, Andre Johnson would still be a perfect complement to Eric Decker, signed as a free agent this offseason, along with proven talent on the roster such as Jeremy Kerley and David Nelson.

“I was just watching TV and seeing the whole story that was going on. It’s a situation [where] I don’t think the Texans would let him loose or whatever,” Chris Johnson said Wednesday during organized team activities. “But, me playing in the AFC South, having to face this guy twice every year, knowing that he’s just a very good player and he’s also a friend of mind. So, anytime you’ve got another friend in the league you always want to play with him.”

The Texans wide receiver had 109 receptions for 1,407 yards and five touchdowns for the worst team in the league last season. All of those numbers would top the production of any wide receiver on the Jets roster in 2013.

Johnson is set to make $10 million next season and the Jets are one of a few teams who would be able to absorb that cap hit.

Head coach Rex Ryan was asked about pursuing the Texans receiver on Wednesday, but wouldn’t bite.

“I can’t say. I don’t talk about any players on other rosters,” Ryan said. “I’m just throwing it out there. That’s it.”
