The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Sixers, 101-72, at Staples Center on Wednesday night.

The teams were tied at the end of one quarter, but the Clippers (47-22) used a hot-shooting second quarter to take a 46-36 lead at the half.

It didn’t get any better for the struggling 76ers after they emerged from the locker room for the second half.

Spencer Hawes scored 16 points to lead the Sixers(26-41), who head to Denver for a game against Andre Iguodala and the Nuggets on Thursday night.

Jrue Holiday scored just two points Wednesday.

Chris Paul lead the Clippers with 19 points.
