Everyone knows the book on Tony Romo. Keep him in the pocket and force him into bad decisions. The quarterback is dangerous when the play breaks down and he starts improvising.

Safety Quintin Mikell said he still remembers a 42-yard bomb Romo connected on with tight end Jason Witten in the Eagles’ 41-37 loss last September. Those types of plays can’t happen.

“We have to keep our eyes on the receivers and we can’t let any blown coverages go, and I think if we do that we’ll be OK,” said Mikell.

The Broncos may have given the blueprint when they beat Dallas in Week 4. Led by Brian Dawkins, the Broncos defense forced Romo into two crucial turnovers. Mikell insists he isn’t asking his former teammate for any advice.

“I’m sure he wouldn’t want to help me out a whole lot with that,” Mikell said. “He is going to try to let me find my own way now.”
