Does the firing of Bob McClure mean Bobby Valentine will be back?

It was assumed that Bobby Valentine would get the axe during the next few weeks.

While that may still very well happen, it seems that Red Sox ownership gave Bobby V. another vote of confidence when they fired pitching coach Bob McClure Monday.

Randy Niemann, a longtime Valentine assistant was promoted to pitching coach for the remainder of the year. Niemann spent 24 years in the Mets organization.
