Longtime “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak admitted in an interview Tuesday with ESPN2’s Dan Le Batard he used to get drunk with Vanna White before show tapings.
He said they would have a two-and-a-half hour production break and to fill the gap would enjoy “two or three and six” drinks at a nearby restaurant.
“When I first started and was much younger and could tolerate those things. We had a different show then,” he said, according to the New York Daily News.
Sajak admitted he and Vanna would “have trouble recognizing the alphabet.” He also said the episodes would be “great tapes to get a hold of.”
While we’re not quite sure what Sajak was downing in this old clip, he certainly looks like he’s enjoying himself.
