Red Sox: Dustin Pedroia may be done for 2014

Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia may be shut down for the remainder of the 2014 regular season as an MRI showed that there is “increased inflammation” in his wrist, WEEI.com reported Tuesday.

Red Sox manager John Farrell did not say if surgery would be an option.

Pedroia is batting .278 with seven home runs and 53 RBIs in 135 games played this season.
