There’s a lot riding on Jeremy Maclin for the Eagles this season. Luckily, it’s been nothing but good news so in Eagles’ OTAs.

“In some ways, I feel faster,” he said. “The one thing that’s gonna let me know when I get in a game is actually getting tackled, but like I said, by that time I’ll be well after 12 months.”

Maclin’s quarterback Nick Foles likes what he sees from the receiver already.

“Gut feeling, I think he’s better,” Foles said. “Mac is one of those guys, he doesn’t want to just get back to where he was, he wants to be better.”

Henery’s fate as No. 1 kicker up in the air

The Eagles are pondering possibly having two kickers on the roster, bringing in someone else to kick off and leaving the field goal duties to Alex Henery.

But after practice Wednesday morning, Chip Kelly wasn’t ready to decide what to do about the Birds and their kicker situation.

“I don’t deal with hypotheticals,” the coach said. “I know Alex has really worked on kicking off in the off‑season, a lot of things, and him and [special teams] coach [Dave] Fipp have sat down and talked about, but I’m not a predict the future guy.”
