The Eagles have reportedly hired Todd Bowles to coach their defensive backs. Unlike his predecessor, the recently fired Johnny Lynn, Bowles will coach the entire secondary.
Bowles, 48, spent last season serving as assistant head coach and defensive backs coach for the Miami Dolphins. When Tony Sparano was fired on Dec. 12, Bowles took over as the Dolphins' interim coach. He is a former Temple standout and Washington Redskin.
The Philadelphia Inquirer was the first to report the move. Andy Reid is scheduled to address the media and announce the move at a press conference Tuesday, according to the report. With Bowles in place as an experienced and highly respected assistant, Juan Castillo is expected to retain his post as the team's defensive coordinator.
