Eagles Notebook: Mychal Kendricks inks rookie deal

Mychal Kendricks is the first Eagles rookie to sign a contract. The second-round pick out of California agreed on a four-year deal with the team Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed.

The Eagles took two defensive players in the second round: Kendrick (46th overall) and Vinny Curry (59th overall). Kendricks racked up 258 tackles, 13.5 sacks and seven fumble recoveries in his four years at Cal. He was named the 2011 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year.

With Kendricks signed, that leaves eight unsigned draft picks in the Eagles’ nest. The team opens a three-day rookie mincamp Saturday. Unsigned rookies can participate.
