Fantasy sports: Dreaming about depth

Sometimes, what a team doesn’t do speaks volumes.

We know that the Redskins weren’t happy with Rex Grossman because they gave up the farm to get Robert Griffin III. The Browns targeted Trent Richardson, so we know they’re really down on Montario Hardesty. But what about the moves that weren’t made? There are sleepers to be found there.

Stark clarity

The Packers have an extreme pass-happy reputation, but they ranked 14th in pass attempts last season. So now that they’ve decided to let Ryan?Grant walk, it was a surprise that they didn’t use a single draft pick on a tailback. They’re comfortable with James Starks as their clear

feature back.

Saints march

Ex-Saints wideout Robert Meachem won’t be a sleeper as the new speed man in San Diego. But his replacement in New Orleans, Devery Henderson, is suddenly trending up. The Saints used one draft pick on a receiver, fourth-rounder Nick Toon. He won’t threaten Henderson’s starting role.

Great Scott

After losing Cedric Benson, the Bengals went out and added BenJarvus Green-Ellis. They also drafted Dan?Herron in the sixth round. Yawn. Green-Ellis has no explosion and Herron might not even make the team. Bernard Scott still has the most talent in this backfield.
