Many different factors cause owners to run for the hills on draft day. Sometimes, these concerns are warranted. Other times, it’s a case of chicken little running for the hills.
Identifying the difference here is key. Oftentimes, it presents an opportunity to get a stud at a discount in your draft. Oh, and speaking of studs, please be sure to draft Arian Foster, Matthew Stafford and Jermichael Finley. OK, back to the little chickies:
Trust the DA
Larry Fitzgerald’s stock is sinking like a stone thanks to a very minor knee injury and the Cardinals’ ugly quarterback situation. Don’t be scared off. Derek Anderson has a monster arm and is willing to take chances deep. Fitzgerald is still a top three option at receiver along with Andre Johnson and Randy Moss.
Not same old Lions
You need some guts to draft a Lions rookie in the third or fourth round. Take a shot of courage and do it. Jahvid Best is an absurdly fast pass-catching back that will be a focal point of a high-scoring offense. Yes, we’re using Lions and high-scoring in the same sentence.
A time to ignore
Tony Romo and the entire Cowboys’ offense has been atrocious in the preseason. It means nothing. This will easily be one of the best units in the league and Romo is going to be in the middle of everything.
