Fantasy Football Week 3: Latest on Leonard Fournette, Josh Gordon, more

For fantasy football owners frantically checking the injury statuses of some big-time players, here is the latest injury news before you set your lineups for Week 3 of the NFL season.

Fantasy Football: Latest on Leonard Fournette

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette continues to struggle with hamstring issues after picking up the injury against the New York Giants in Week 1.

After sitting out against the Jaguars’ win over the New England Patriots in Week 2, it looks as though Fournette will not be going against the Tennessee Titans in Week 3.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported just hours before Jacksonville’s 1 p.m. ET kick-off on Sunday that the Jaguars are going to “play it safe” with their franchise running back and sit him for at least another week.

TJ Yeldon once again will be the featured back in the Jaguars backfield against the Titans.

Fantasy Football: Latest on Josh Gordon

The New England Patriots took a chance on Josh Gordon, pulling off a trade with the Cleveland Browns to pick up the troubled wide receiver.

The straw that broke the camel’s back of Gordon’s time in Cleveland, after a number of suspensions and off-field issues, was a mysterious hamstring injury he picked up earlier in the month.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Gordon is going to be a game-time decision to make his Patriots debut Sunday night against the Detroit Lions as they will test it during pregame warm-ups.

Fantasy Football: Latest on Melvin Gordon

Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon hasn’t had a rip-roaring start to his 2018 season with just 92 yards and a touchdown in two games. It has plenty of fantasy football owners concerned after a 1,105-yard campaign in 2017.

His Week 2 outing against the Buffalo Bills was cut short at just nine carries for 28 yards after he picked up a neck injury, immediately putting his future status in jeopardy.

While the injury initially looked serious, he practiced all week and will be a go against the Los Angeles Rams.
