FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Ryan Fitzpatrick had plenty of clutch plays on Monday night in the New York Jets impressive win at the Indianapolis Colts. But one of his plays went viral and it was well off of the playing field.
Following the Jets road win, a victory that marks the franchise's first 2-0 start since 2011, the Jets were enjoying the cheers from the many fans who made the trip to Lucas Oil Stadium to support their team on the road. Defensive lineman Leger Douzable was feeling the love from the crowd and threw one of his game-worn gloves into the crowd, just a token of appreciation.
Then it happened.

"I threw one of my gloves, couldn't get the other one because it was taped too tight! Decided to give them a towel, I turned back around and they didn't have any mats on the floor. So my cleat slipped from under and I fell. Thank God I didn't hurt myself, I fell on my butt," Douzable told Metro.

"And Fitz was there to help me."
Fitzpatrick used both his hands to reach out and pull his teammate up, taking him by the hand and helping the hulking defensive lineman from off the ground. But not before Douzable was captured in a laugh at his misfortune, something that caused him to go onto Twitter and quickly post the photo when he found it. The photo quickly went viral, springing up on message boards and every variety of social media.
Douzable had a very good game for the Jets, including three tackles. He also was man enough to take the moment in stride and continue to laugh at it.
"I was just happy I wasn't hurt or anything. I was just laughing," Douzable said. "It was a good moment and I appreciate my quarterback and teammate being there for me."
