The Phillies hold the 10th pick in Monday’s first round, here are some players that could be available and enticing.

James Kaprielian, UCLA, RHP

If the Phillies want an arm that will be in the rotation sooner rather than later, they could look to Kaprielian.

Ian Happ, Cincinnati, OF

The Cincinatti utility man could project to second base in the majors, where he has power you don’t often see at the position (unless you’re lucky enough to watch Chase Utley for a decade).

Tyler Stephenson, Kennesaw Mountain HS, C

Reportedly Ruben Amaro has been in the stands to see Stephenson, one of the top rated catchers in the draft, this season.

Kolby Allard, San Clemente HS, LHP

Allard could have gone in the top five before suffering a back injury. If the Phils could luck out on him the same way they did when drafting Cole Hamels, it would be quite a steal.

Brady Aiken, Cathedral Catholic HS, LHP

Last year’s first overall selection who failed to sign with the Astros after they got nervous about his health and tried to reduce his signing bonus, Aiken recently underwent TommyJohn surgery this spring.
