The Patriots looked to the defensive side of the ball in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft Thursday night, tabbing Florida defensive tackle Dominique Easley at No. 29.

Easley is expected to immediately spell Vince Wilfork and add depth on the defensive line but there is certainly the possibility that Easley could blossom into a Pro Bowl-caliber player. Easley was projected as an early first round pick at times during his Florida career but ACL injuries set his career back.

Easley is 6-foot-1, 288 pounds and was injured for much of the 2013 season at Florida. In his Gators career he totaled 72 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
