First there was the headband, now there’s the towel band.
Former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez made all the wrong kind of headlines last year for sporting a headband while addressing the media during offseason workouts.
Now Geno Smith has taken a similar approach, wearing a towel around his head in a style reminiscent of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
Sanchez was no stranger to bold fashion choices, including a fashion spread in GQ Magazine as questionable as some of his passes into double coverage during the 2012 season.
It is just another fashion buttfumble for a Jets starting quarterback. Their quarterbacks need to evoke a little Joe Namath in their closets in the future.
