If you, like so many others, thought it was New York,?Philly and everybody else this MLB postseason, you’ve been vindicated so far. The two — odds-on favorites to win the World Series in online futures betting last night — swept their openers.

Sportsbook Bodog.com had the Phillies at 6-5 to win it all, with the Yankees just behind at 8-5. No other team came close; Tampa Bay’s 13-2 odds were third-best.

The Giants and Braves played a potentially decisive Game 4 last night. Game 5 would be tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, the Rays will host the Rangers in Game 5 tonight (8:07 p.m., TBS). Texas took the first two games of the series, but Tampa Bay has won two straight to even it up.
