Back on Aug. 1, Rex Ryan — after declaring once again that it’s the Jets’ year — challenged the entire league to beat the Patriots.
“Again, I think we have to find somebody out there to beat New England besides us, and I think that would help,” he said. “Anybody out there that wants to sign up for it? Are you good enough as a team to beat the New England Patriots?”
But what about the Jets themselves? Have they done enough to topple New England??Or are the Pats loaded enough to justify their “favorite” status?
Yes, the Jets beat them twice last season. But Bill Belichick and Co., wasted no time getting back up on their horses and revamping the team.
