Jason Dufner was already an internet sensation. Now he’s a major champion as well.
Dufner shot a major-low 63 in his second round and managed to hold off veteran Jim Furyk on the final day, finishing two strokes ahead at 10-under.
Furyk, who led coming into the day, shot a 1-over 71 yesterday.

Swedes Henrik Stenson and Jonas Blixt finished third and fourth respectively.
Dufner developed something of a cult status on tour when he admitted to using chewing tobacco during rounds and a photo of him falling asleep during a charity event kicked off a meme called “Dufnering.”
The 36-year-old veteran turned pro in 2000, but struggled to even stay on tour for much of his first decade. But he broke out in 2011 with a second place finish in the PGA Championship despite faltering down the stretch and won twice in 2012. He climbed to No. 21 in the world this season.
Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson both struggled all tournament long. Woods shot an even-par 70 yesterday to finish 4-over, while Mickelson finished well back at 12-over.
