Jets 2012 schedule released

The Jets schedule has been released and the first chance Jets fans will get to see Tim Tebow will be at home against the Bills. Feel free to get your chants ready.

Take a look at the schedule:

Week 1 (Sept. 9) — Bills (Sunday, CBS, 1 p.m.)

Week 2 (Sept. 16) — at Steelers (Sunday, CBS, 4:15 p.m.)

Week 3 (Sept. 23) — at Dolphins (Sunday, CBS, 1 p.m.)

Week 4 (Sept. 30) — 49ers (Sunday, FOX, 1 p.m.)

Week 6 (Oct. 14) — Colts (Sunday, CBS, 1 p.m.)

Week 7 (Oct. 21) — at Patriots (Sunday, CBS, 4:15 p.m.)

Week 8 (Oct. 28) — Dolphins (Sunday, CBS, 1 p.m.)

Week 9 — BYE

Week 10 (Nov. 11) — at Seahawks (Sunday, CBS, 4:05 p.m.)

Week 11 (Nov. 18) — at Rams (Sunday, CBS, 1 p.m.)

Week 12 (Nov. 22) — Patriots (Thursday, NBC, 8:20 p.m.)

Week 13 (Dec. 2) — Cardinals (Sunday, FOX, 1 p.m.)

Week 14 (Dec. 9) — at Jaguars (Sunday, CBS, 1 p.m.)

Week 15 (Dec. 17) — at Titans (Monday, ESPN, 8:30 p.m.)

Week 16 (Dec. 23) — Chargers (Sunday, NBC, 8:20 p.m.)

Week 17 (Dec. 30) — at Bills (Sunday, CBS, 1 p.m.)

At first look, the schedule doesn’t look too tough, but then again things change fast and unexpectedly in the NFL. The one thing immediately noticeable is all the away games in the second half of the season. After the Bye in Week 9, the team plays five of their final eight games on the road, including three of the last four. The good news is, despite tangling with the NFC West, they don’t leave the Eastern Time Zone after a trip to the Rams in Week 11.

No surprise the Patriots game in Week 7 is a national CBS game, while the second Patriots game comes during primetime on Thanksgiving Day. The Jets also play the Texans, Titans and Chargers in primetime.

Except for the Week 15 game on ESPN, the last five weeks of the season can be flexed into (or out of in the case of Week 16) the Sunday, NBC primetime game.
