Josh Beckett seen golfing when he’s supposedly injured

Josh Beckett never apologized for the beer and fried chicken episodes of last September. It remains to be seen if he’ll offer up a ‘sorry’ for what reportedly took place last week.

CBS Boston reported that the Sox starter was golfing two days prior to his scheduled start at Fenway Park against Baltimore. That’s typically not cause for criticism, but in this case, Beckett was supposed to be resting his sore shoulder and lat, which he had injured on April 29 against the White Sox.

Beckett has not pitched since the 126-pitch loss against Chicago and his turn in the rotation was skipped last Saturday due to the injuries.

The Red Sox are 12-17 on the 2012 season and are in last place in the American League East.
