Kevin Durant: Possible names for fake Twitter accounts

Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant further proved to us this week that it’s an amazing time to be alive.

Only in 2017 could we be talking about a league and NBA Finals MVP creating at least one fake Twitter account in order to clap back at detractors on the deep, dark internet.

It’s a scary place, sure, and given the amount of flack Durant has received since signing with the Warriors from the Oklahoma City Thunder, I’m sure there is an enormous amount of aggression built up due to constant abuse from misinformed or just plain angry basketball fanatics.

This all started Monday when he answered a question on why he left Oklahoma City in the first place from his personal account (@KDTrey5). Not that bad, right?

The problem was that he referred to himself in the third person:

“He didn’t like the organization or playing for Billy Donovan,” one of the deleted tweets read. “His roster wasn’t that good, it was just him and Russ.”

“Imagine taking Russ off that team,” a wrote in a second one. “See how bad they were. KD can’t win a championship with those cats.”

Awkward.

He had a chance to come clean on Tuesday, but said that his tweets were “childish,” and “idiotic,” via SFGate.com

But he didn’t say that they were meant for a fake account (this is the part of the plot where it’s perfectly acceptable to roll your eyes).

While we have no idea if any of us have actually been trolled by Durant using a fake account on Twitter, we can at least speculate some possible names he could have used:

Quiresultan

This was the name of an Instagram account uncovered by some Holmesian Reddit users, who speculated that Durant ran this page.

But then SB Nation’s Tim Cato broke it all open:

How about them apples?

Okay, now we can take off our tinfoil hats and actually just make up names that Durant could have used:
