Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian are really the star-crossed lovers of our time.

Lamar Odom has had a tough life. First, he was drafted by the Clippers — when they were still the Clippers. Then, he was somehow tricked into marrying Khloe Kardashian.
And now he’s doing crack— reportedly.
TMZ reported over the weekend that Odom has been using crack cocaine for two years, and it is putting a serious crimp in his made-for-TV marriage. I didn’t know there was a problem with said marriage, but Odom was apparently tossed out of his house by his wife when he refused an intervention a few weeks ago. He was reportedly treated in a rehab facility last year and kept himself under control during the NBA season.
TMZ tosses out the line, “It’s unclear how Lamar’s problem will affect his basketball career.”
Well, I’m guessing it won’t help.
To be fair, Odom’s career is basically over. He’s a 33-year-old free agent who averaged 4.0 points per game in 19.7 minutes last season. He did have 5.9 rebounds per game, so maybe he’ll pick up an offer, but being a crack addict won’t help.
TMZ isn’t always the most reliable news source (remember, they pay sources,) but they can certainly find these gossipy stories.
The news may explain why Odom is addicted to candy as well. That’s not a euphemism, by the way. He actually can’t stop eating candy. I suppose when you’re trying to avoid getting high, the sugar high is close enough. Seriously, watch this video:
