M.I.A. is not taking the NFL's $1.5 million lawsuit against her for flipping the bird during last year's Super Bowl half-time show lightly, calling the suit "completely ridiculous" and "massive corporation d--- shaking" in an angry YouTube response. "So now [the NFL is] scapegoating me into figuring out the goal posts on what is offensive in America," she says.
"They want me on my knees and say sorry so they can slap me on my wrists. And basically say it's OK for me to promote being sexually exploited as a female than to display female empowerment through being punk rock. That is what it boils down to, and I'm being sued for it."

We’re celebrating, we’re celebrating for sure.”
Super Bowl XLVIII will be held on February 2 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
