Mike Vick, who is dealing with a bruised right (non-throwing) hand, did take snaps with the first-team offense during the Eagles’ morning walkthrough Wednesday.
Coach Andy Reid wouldn’t call Vick 100 percent and he wouldn’t commit to a starter for Sunday’s game against San Francisco. The team will continue to monitor Vick’s condition throughout the week before making any decision.
“If he can’t squeeze the ball 100 percent or is in jeopardy of being injured further, we’re not going to put him in there,” Reid said.
If the latter is the case, Reid wouldn’t say who would start. However, he did add that Vince Young is “100 percent.”
Starting center Jason Kelce confirmed that Vick took snaps in the morning, saying that the quarterback’s hand is still bruised but he didn’t fumble any snaps.
Vick, speaking before a scrum of reporters, said he expects to play Sunday.
“There’s 100 percent chance I’m playing,” Vick said.
