Moving on from Yanks, for a few weeks, at least

The Red Sox and Yankees  wrapped up their three-game series at Fenway Park last night a lot like they started it.

The Red Sox and Yankees wrapped up their three-game series at Fenway Park last night a lot like they started it.

Just about dead even atop the AL East.

New York’s bullpen carried it to a 3-2 win in Friday’s opener, but the Sox struck back Saturday, shelling CC Sabathia in a 10-4 triumph.

They finished the series last night, with Josh Beckett and Freddy Garcia on the mound. The Yanks get a day off today following the late start.

Boston??Not so much.

The Sox are in Minnesota to open a three-game series tonight (7:10 p.m., ESPN, WEEI). They’ll get their day off Thursday.

New York, meanwhile, hosts the Angels for three starting tomorrow.

The Sox and Yanks will get together twice more in the regular season. They’re at Fenway for three starting Aug. 30, then head to the Bronx for a climactic showdown opening on

Sept. 23.
