NBC announces sitcoms from Adam Levine, Sean Hayes; drama from Dick Wolf

Robert Greenblatt, Chairman of NBC Entertainment, announced several projects in development for the network at the Television Critics Association press tour on Monday.

“The Voice” star Adam Levine is working on developing a new half-hour sitcom, taking place at a karaoke bar.

Sean Hayes will return to comedy with a new sitcom. He’s also working with the network on developing an unscripted series.

“Law & Order” honcho Dick Wolf is working on a one-hour “big firefighter” drama.

After his success with “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation,” Greg Daniels has signed a development deal with NBC for “all kinds of programming,” says Greenblatt. The NBC head says they “want to emphasize animation.” “I think Greg will do really interesting things in that area,” he added.

A holiday special featuring Michael Buble will be produced by Lorne Michaels and Ben Silverman.
