Jamal Adams isn’t just making opposing quarterbacks take notice of his abilities. Seems like fans of the New York Jets and even around the league are excited about his future.
The Jets took Adams as the No. 6 pick in last spring’s NFL Draft, selecting the safety in large part due to his range and his ball-hawking ability. So far this year, Adams has proven to be one of the best rookies in the league and he’s playing like a veteran.
Adams is clearly a cornerstone of the Jets rebuild project. He has 49 tackles, two sacks and three passes defended so far this year.
And he’s also racking up another interesting statistic as well.
Adams was the sixth best-selling NFL jersey among rookies over this past week according to Dick’s Sporting Goods. He moved up a spot from the seventh spot the week before.
In addition, he was the eighth best-selling defensive player in the entire league over the past week.
This is no flash in the pan. Over the course of the season, he is the No. 16 selling defensive jersey according to Dick’s Sporting Goods.
For what it’s worth, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has the top-selling jersey this year but that might change soon. Over the past two weeks, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, now in his second season in the NFL, has had the top jersey in each of those weeks.
