French giants Paris Saint-Germain have quickly become one of the most formidable sides in Europe after signing Neymar from Barcelona and Kylian Mbappe from Monaco.
Joining Edinson Cavani, the Parisians own an embarrassment of riches up front when it comes to attacking power, which could leave the turnover of some pretty notable names.
Among those now entrenched for a battle in playing time, winger Julian Draxler has found himself in the logjam of world-class talent within the PSG ranks and it looks like he has become expendable.
Mundo Deportivo reported that a number of PSG players will be free to leave the club when the transfer window re-opens in January, including Draxler, who has started just two games so far this season in all competitions.
The German international is never a golden boot competitor, but he is an influential playmaker:
Which is obviously why he is getting some major attention from big Premier League clubs in England.
Arsenal has been after Draxler for the past few months as he was one of their top targets over the summer, which make them one of the favorites to nab him. Especially if Alexis Sanchez actually leaves the club this winter. It was reported that the Chilean forward was set for a move to Manchester City on deadline day, but things fell through as he remained with the London side.
But the Gunners will likely have competition and it may come in the form of Liverpool, according to TransferMarketWeb (h/t the Daily Star).
Both clubs were also in on the pursuit of Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar, though the young Frenchman stayed with his club through the deadline.
Draxler would bring an added punch to a solid Liverpool attack that already features Philippe Coutinho, who was the apple of Barcelona's eye last month.
