Miguel Ibarra might be on the move this offseason, the United States international possibly done with Minnesota United after a single season with the expansion club.

One of the first signings by Minnesota, Ibarra returned to the team after nearly two years in Mexico with Club Leon. He originally was with Minnesota for two years prior to playing in Liga MX; Minnesota was originally in the NASL before the team joined MLS.

But after a difficult first season back with Minnesota, Ibarra shifted in and out of the lineup, he looks likely to be on the move. He had only one start in Minnesota’s final four matches.

A source from Minnesota, speaking on the condition of anonymity, tells Metro that several teams have already inquired about the player. Among the clubs interested in Ibarra are “Los Angeles [Galaxy], Seattle, NYC FC and Portland,” per the source. All four teams have expressed interest in making a move for the unsettled player.

The 27-year old midfielder can play either wing, has good pace and technical ability but didn’t necessarily fit into Minnesota’s scheme.

Ibarra has been capped three times by the United States national team, all under former head coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
