It’s officially official now, according to several reports. The NFL preseason is set to begin tomorrow.

Let the chaos of a super-short off-season begin!

While the league year is expected to begin Aug. 2, many of the normal summer season transactions that haven’t yet taken place will begin in earnest starting later this evening.

Rookie draft picks and rookie free agents can begin signing with teams and teams can trade players (Kevin Kolb, for example, likely to land in Arizona) TOMORROW.

A third of the league’s teams would have players report WEDNESDAY to training camp, since camps begin 15 days before the teams’ first preseason games. The rest of the league would follow suit throughout the week. (The New York Jets would be among the last, likely on Sunday.)

Teams would begin the first round of cuts THURSDAY.
