No word on how Patriots will look minus Aaron Hernandez

Patriots brass was predictably coy yesterday as to how the team will handle the absence of tight end Aaron Hernandez this weekend against the Bills.

The rising star is expected to miss the game with an MCL sprain. He has 14 catches for 165 yards on the season.

“We have a lot of different guys that play,” offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien said yesterday. “We’re in the process of game-planning right now. We’re going to head out to practice [today] and we’re going to start putting that first and second half game plan in and go from there.”

Personnel czar Nick Caserio said the Pats’ look Sunday will be dictated by what they think the Bills can handle.

“We haven’t even started practicing, so we don’t even exactly know where we’re going to be come Sunday,” he said.
