Optimism reigned supreme in Foxboro Wednesday as there was a glimmer of hope that both Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola would be able to return in time for this Sunday night’s showdown against Atlanta (8:30, NBC).
“I anticipate being 100 percent shortly,” Amendola told reporters.
Amendola was limited in the Patriots’ full-pads practice.
The receiver has played in just one game so far for New England after signing with the franchise this past spring. Amendola played through pain in Week 1 but was still able to haul in 10 receptions for 104 yards.
