Union Notebook: Club falls to Galaxy, Fire up next

The Philadelphia Union lost to the LA Galaxy, 4-1, Wednesday night. The Galaxy received three goals in the final 20 minutes to bury the Union and pick up three points.

Brazilian midfielder Kleberson made his first start for the Union and showed a strong presence in the central midfield.

“I am glad that [manager] John Hackworth had the faith in me and I was able to reward him for that confidence,” he said.

The Union (4-4-3) don’t have time to sit around and feel sorry for themselves. The club is back in action Saturday (7:30 p.m., TCN) at PPL Park when it hosts the Chicago Fire.

Philadelphia Union v Houston Dynamo Jack McInerney and the Union only have a few days to prepare for the Chicago Fire.
