Tip: Tim Tebow is not a wide receiver.
How do I know? Well, mainly because of the disasterpiece that was the Jets offense yesterday in their ugly win over the Dolphins. The team used him 11 times as an H-back — the most they’ve done yet — but mostly just as a decoy. Maybe they should’ve kept it that way. In the third quarter of a tie game, on 3rd-and-3 Tebow was put in motion. Mark Sanchez passed it to him on a quick dump off. And when I say passed it to him, I mean it hit him in the back of the head as Tebow obliviously flailed to turn around.
“I was not expecting it that quick, but I guess I’ll learn,” Tebow said after the game.
Yeah, we noticed. Take a look:
Replacement disasters
The on-going disaster that are the replacement referees continued yesterday — in every game. There are bad calls in every game, but things got a little too crazy in Dallas.
Cowboys receiver Kevin Ogletree was running a route in the back of the end zone when a ref inexplicably threw his hat on the ground and tripped Ogletree.
Feel free to watch that again. A ref is supposed to throw his hat off when a player steps out-of-bounds to signal that player cannot be the first to touch the ball. But Ogletree never even came close to stepping out. (Plus, you’re not really supposed to throw it onto the field in the middle of the action. On the sideline would suffice.) So, seriously, did this guy have money on the Bucs or what?
After things got dangerous for the players early, they got dangerous for the refs later. First we had Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan chasing a ref down the tunnel after the game shouting slurs at an official. The refs spotted the ball wrong on a late penalty and ran 10 seconds off the clock at the end of the game improperly.
Per a source that saw/heard it, Kyle Shanahan chased a official down underneath & said “You have No f***ing balls, you r a f***ing p***y.”

Don’t let your mother hear that language, Kyle. And speaking of chasing down officials, we had Patriots head coach/silent movie impersonator Bill Belichick physically grab a referee after the Pats lost to the Ravens Sunday night.
As Al Michaels said, “That’s a few bucks.”
Pats linebacker echoed his coach’s sentiment on the officials after the game on Twitter. Just don’t read it if you’re offended by bad language.
