Ryan Kalish’s diving grab in center on the first at-bat of the night triggered a pleasant night for Boston as the Red Sox beat the Marlins, 7-5, at Fenway Park Tuesday night.
David Ortiz and Kelly Shoppach both homered in the first two innings as the Red Sox overcame a 2-0 deficit.
Cody Ross also homered in his first game back from injury and Will Middlebrooks had a pair of hits.
Clay Buchholz earned the victory, going six innings while allowing five earned runs on nine hits.
