The White Sox once again scored the first run of the night and it looked as though Chicago was well on its way to taking firm control of a four-game set with Boston.
But the Red Sox (47-45) had one of their finest offensive performances of the season Wednesday as Adrian Gonzalez and Cody Ross powered Boston to a 10-1 victory. Ross homered twice, finishing with six RBIs, while Gonzalez had three hits and finished with four RBIs.
Felix Doubront picked up the win for Boston, allowing four hits over six innings. Andrew Miller closed things out in the ninth for the Red Sox with a pair of strike outs.
