Red Sox fall to A’s in the 9th

Old friend Coco Crisp drove in Cliff Pennington via a sac fly in the ninth inning and Oakland walked off with a 3-2 victory Tuesday night.

Jon Lester was solid in the loss for Boston, working 6.2 innings and allowing just one earned run on four hits. Lester also struck out nine.

Alfredo Aceves allowed two runs late.
