Red Sox slam Marlins to win fourth straight

The Red Sox are no longer in the AL East basement.

The Red Sox (35-33) put together one of their finest offensive games of the season Wednesday night at Fenway Park, beating the Marlins 15-5 to earn their fourth straight victory.

David Ortiz bashed a grand slam to right field in the fourth inning to open up an 11-4 lead for Boston.

Mike Aviles, Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Will Middlebrooks also homered for the Red Sox.

Felix Doubront continued his surprise year with another win to improve to 8-3 on the year. He worked six innings and gave up four earned runs on nine hits.
