Josh Beckett worked six innings Sunday, allowing eight hits and three earned while striking out seven in a 7-3 Red Sox victory in Tampa.

Mikes Aviles and Daniel Nava helped Beckett overcome a slow start, leading the way offensively with a home run apiece.

With the win, the Red Sox are now just 1.5 games out in the second AL wild card standings.

Kevin Youkilis and the White Sox invade Fenway Park Monday night (7 p.m., NESN).
